Off to Anticipation this morning, the 67th annual World Science Fiction Convention, held this year in Montreal. Traveling down with my good buddy Fergus, and we’ll both hang on there until early Monday morning. If I get a chance I’ll report back from time to time.
I’m excited because although I’ve dabbled in a few cons before, usually they’ve been working cons for me, where I go to gather some tape for work. This time it’ll be mostly about just enjoying the con, perhaps trying to make the odd contact for my (nearly) completed novel.
Also, I’ve been asked to present a reading of my adaptation of Tom Godwin’s The Cold Equations, aired on CBC Radio shortly before the 2002 WorldCon in Toronto. Several authors and fellow SF enthusiasts will be participating in that reading tomorrow (Sat) night at 7pm. And I’ll be on a panel sometime Sunday talking about the whole world of radio plays, as related to SF.
Should be fun!
